Impaired
stomach acid and boarding children are two things that cannot be
separated. Away from family for many years, the busyness and laziness of getting used to a healthy life makes my stomach acid unfriendly. He
suffered from chronic indigestion during the overseas trip, which made me deterred
and try alternative acupuncture treatment. The benefits of acupuncture
for stomach acid I can finally feel after a routine of treatment for
several months. How much does acupuncture cost in Bandung?let's see!
Digestive Disorders
I
was a child; I was already affected by indigestion that was getting
worse when I was working. Usually discomfort will appear in the left
stomach when I eat late. This pain can be whacked for days and only
subsides when taking the drug ulcer 'Pr***g' or antacid.
I have been very fond of spicy food since I was in junior high school. The
spicy level is getting up. Spicy chips, ‘Maicih’ or kurupuk gurilem level
10, I used to spend alone in an instant. Not to mention meatballs or
chestnut sambal that never miss every lunch menu at work. Spicy food
became the best healing at that time.
Actually, I had a stone in 2008 when I was forced to take care of inpatients and be on bed rest
for months because of typhus. When initially only the left abdomen, the
longer this indigestion lasts, the more widespread it becomes. I often feel the heat in my
heart that eventually spreads up. At the peak I was suddenly claustrophobic,
couldn’t breathe, and felt the incredible heat in the chest area.
The doctor at the Emergency Installation (IGD) stated I had heartburn.
The doctor gave an injection that immediately relieved the heat in my
chest. I was also referred to continue treatment in internal
medicine. The doctor also recommended I improve my digestion, which
seems to be chronic.
Because
I was still stubborn about eating spicy food, I ended up being kapok when being
sentenced to vertigo and had to undergo treatment for a long time
because my head felt heavy like I wanted to break for months. Vertigo
itself can be caused by nerve disorders in the head or psychic or stomach
acid disorders. And this is the end of my adventure with heartburn
because, in the end, I stopped ‘almost’ completely with spicy food.
Until then, sometimes I was still confused about distinguishing between ulcers, stomach acid, and GERD.
What is the difference between the three?
Maag and Gerd
"Ulcers" has become a term that is often used to describe indigestion. Ulcers
themselves are actually a collection of symptoms characterized by pain
in the heart, nausea, vomiting, flatulence, easy satiety, and
burping. Medically, ulcers are caused by irritation of the
stomach wall. When a person has ulcers, stomach acid will rise around
the stomach only and cause symptoms that are commonly felt by people
with heartburn.
What is the difference with GERD?
GERD, or Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease,
is a disease of the gastrointestinal tract caused by the rise of
stomach acid into the esophagus that causes a burning or heat sensation in
the chest area, commonly called heartburn. GERD also causes other symptoms such as nausea, the mouth feeling bitter, and shortness of breath.
Both ulcers or GERD are caused by excessive stomach acid, but the area and symptoms are different.
Acupuncture
Tired
of all the dramas of this stomach acid disorder made me try a lot of
things. The first step is, of course, to stop eating all spicy and sour
foods (nah, since I used to not really like acidic foods). Of course, it
is very difficult for spicy lovers like me; the food tastes tasteless. But for the sake of health, I was willing to replace the
sambal by replacing the sheep cayenne pepper (large red/yellow cayenne
pepper) with onions only. Be the mother of the canteen and nickname this
special sambal with the name's sambal baby' because it only contains onions, terasi, and tomatoes.
Someone
advised me to try acupuncture, or needle prick, a traditional Chinese
medicine that dates back 3000 years and has long been known to our society.
Actually, Embah and Mother have also tried acupuncture to treat strokes and pinched nerves.
Acupuncture treatment techniques are carried out by piercing small and fine needles at certain points in our bodies. Acupuncture has been studied a lot scientifically. Medically,
acupuncture stimulates sensory nerves that are under the skin and
muscles so that it secretes chemicals or hormones in the muscles, spinal
cord, and brain that can help the body stimulate the healing process.
There
are 361 common acupuncture points. The location of the point is
determined according to the guidelines that have certainly been studied for acupuncturists or therapists who perform acupuncture. The accuracy of the
location of an acupuncture point can be known by pressing it. The right
point will cause pain or pain when pressed.
Acupuncture
is widely used to reduce headaches or migraines (as I feel), relieve
pains such as back, neck, and knee pain, help treat insomnia or fertility disorders, improve body immunity, and prevent decreased
cognitive brain function (deeds, language, ability to decide something)
related to age.
In the case of treatment of stomach acid disorders such as mine in clinical
trials, acupuncture can significantly decrease symptoms of acid reflux
or GERD by helping to reduce the production of stomach acid and improve
the work of the escape valve (LES) so as to prevent stomach acid from
rising again.
The
needle used is made of stainless steel with a blunt tip that is very
thin and smooth, so it will not cause pain. So do not imagine it will be
painful as well as being pierced by a real needle, yes 😊. Side effects are usually in the form of pain or bruises in the area where needles are used.
This needle should also be sterile and used only once to prevent the transmission of disease through needles. Of course, it must be done by trained people and experts in their fields. Currently,
electroacupuncture is starting to use a lot of electroacupuncture, namely
the use of electric current in acupuncture techniques.
Acupuncture Fet (update August 2023)
The
first acupuncture clinic that I know is not far from Gedung Sate,
Bandung, namely Biofit Health Center in Jalan Supratman No. 69. This
clinic has been established for a long time, with patient bed facilities
totaling more than 20 so that patients can be served in large numbers
simultaneously.
And
as it turns out, acupuncture has a great effect on the headache I've
had for months. Thank goodness the pain disappeared even though it was
only once undergoing therapy. Although the price is relatively more
expensive than other types of therapy, I still undergo several times of therapy. Currently, the cost of acupuncture is $180,000 for one
therapy. In addition to acupuncture, Biofit also provides heat therapy
and vibrating therapy, or electrocupuncture.
Unfortunately,
the therapist who worked on it was only a man, and I felt a little
uncomfortable because I was in the room alone with the therapist.
I
also moved to another clinic several times and finally found a
cheap acupuncture clinic for only 65K with female and male therapists plus
acupuncture expert doctors who stand by for consultation in the area of Salman Mosque precisely at the top of the Bumi Medika Ganesha ITB clinic. Unfortunately, this clinic pandemic is closed.
But Menong's friends can still be therapeutic at the official clinic, Dr. Felesia Fanty in Komp. Loved the Beautiful Block N-7 (Jl. Kopo Sayati KM. 7), Bandung. Some acupuncturists also received a call to do therapy at the patient's home at a cost of about 150K per therapy.
At
this time, stomach acid disorders are rarely felt. Sometimes, I still
stop by Zauji for acupuncture therapy at the Healthy Source Clinic. This
clinic, managed by Yayasan Sumber Sehat, is located on Jl. Arjuna No. 8, Ciroyom, Kec. Andir, Bandung City, right at the turn of Ciroyom
Market—Andir. The building looks old but clean and accommodates many
patients.
The
cost is quite affordable: 125K for acupuncture therapy as well as dry
kop (such as cupping without being pierced to bleed) and moksa (up with
certain herbs). In addition, there are no additional costs or drugs.
Therapy is done by experienced sensei. The Healthy Source Clinic
provides separate beds for male and female patients. Before starting
therapy, the patient will be measured for tension and consultation around
the complaint suffered.
The majority of patients are stroke survivors who have done therapy several times, and, alhamdulillah, there are visible changes.
The
cost of acupuncture in Bandung in general ranges from 125 to 200 K per
one therapy. Some clinics provide herbal medicine during therapy, but
many also do not provide any drug recommendations. Generally, therapy is
done once a week. I personally prefer a clinic that does not have too many
patients, so there is no need to queue for long. Menong's friends can
find the nearest acupuncture clinic.
