List Of Items To Be Carried When Traveling

For Menong friends who often leave the city, of course, always prepare a list of items that must be carried when traveling. Of course, Menong’s friends do not want travel or activities to be disrupted because there are items left behind. What items should be brought? Yeah, let's see!

As you grow up and demand Menong’s friends to travel further, surely the preparation of this trip will increase. One of the travel preparation tips I do is to make a note about anything (and the amount) that I need to bring. This record is getting complete as my experience increases.

Clothes

Of course, Menong’s friends will not move the entire cupboard into the suitcase. The number of clothes is calculated according to the number of days. For Muslim women in hijab, this shirt certainly includes veils, ciputs, cuffs, and trousers (leggings).

The trick that I did first I chose the top and bottoms compared to the shirt because the shirt gives a much larger volume because it cannot mix and match with another (one day = one shirt). Unlike the case with skirts or trousers, one skirt/long pants can be used for 2 different tops so that the volume of luggage will be reduced.

This also applies to snails, handcuffs, and leggings because they can be worn 2-3 times before washing. Unlike the case with the veil that is carried according to the number of days, the shawl and cuffs can be mixed and matched with different clothes so that it does not need to carry too much.

When doing indoor activities, socks can be used twice. For sleeping clothes, I prefer to use t-shirts and trousers so that it is enough to provide 1 pair of trousers and 1 t-shirt. Add 1 additional t-shirt when traveling > 3 days.

There is one trick that I used to use a shirt or a cuff with a thin outer on the day of departure and return. This game can be used when walking on the sidelines of the activity. An extra top for the backup.

Choose clothes that are not too thick and not easily tangled. One of the problems that is often encountered is a matted shirt because it is folded for too long. A mini iron for traveling is recommended because there are not many hotels that provide irons in the room. One of the other tricks is to directly hang clothes in the closet. My veil is placed on the back of the chair so as not to fold continuously.

Wear clothes with your pocket when leaving and going home to easily save small money. In addition, always carry a thin jacket/coat to protect the body from cold weather or air conditioning when on the way.

Zauji and I have a zipper hoodie with a hood with a special inside for travel that serves to store ID cards/tickets when using trains or planes. In addition, I also have one outer knit that can function as a pashmina to warm the body. Not intended to live frugally, this outer I found in thrifting goods at a price of Rp. 50,000.

Zauji usually prepares his own clothes, extra t-shirts, shorts for the room, and special prayer clothes (and the peci that is always in the bag). I also brought mukena and thin prayer mats that I used to keep in the suitcase because on the trip I rarely prayed using mukena. Some hotels provide prayer mats and Qurans in the room.

Bring excess underwear. The use of pantyliners is recommended to stay clean throughout the trip (don't forget to prepare a replacement pantyliner in the bag). Keep clothes in the travel pouch according to the type to look neat and easy to find.

Bag

Bags become one of the important items that must be prepared because the bag is used to carry goods. The type of bag is chosen depending on the length of the trip, what activities will be undertaken, and the mode of transportation chosen.

Menong's friends who will carry goods in large quantities are advised to use a suitcase with wheels so as not to reach and must carry a bag along the way. Suitcase bags are relatively safer from damage. In addition, some types of suitcases can be expanded so that it is easy when there are additional items when returning home.

Suitcase bag

Usually people only prepare luggage bags and laptop bags, but carry-on bags and handbags are no less important. Handbags are used to store essential items such as wallets, HP, spare pantyliners, talcum powders, lipsticks, and even toothbrushes and Odol because I feel the need to brush my teeth during the night or long trips.

Folding shopping bag

Folding shopping bags are recommended to be easy to store but ready to use when needed, for example, when buying souvenirs, especially in many minimarkets that now no longer provide shopping bags.

Personal Supplies

In addition to clothes, do not forget to bring personal equipment such as toiletries. Most hotels provide amenities such as toothbrushes and toothpaste, bath soap, and shampoo. There are even those that provide additional shower caps, sanitary bags, combs, body lotion, cotton buds, shavers, needles, yarn, and buttons.

I myself prefer to bring my own amenities, but because amenities are given for free, we often take them home to be distributed to relatives or neighbors. In addition to toiletries and make-up, we also bring our own washing soap and dish soap in the pouch (and the sponge).

Hotels or inns usually prepare two towels that guests can use. Some hotels provide bathrobes and hair dryers in the bathroom so that Menong’s friends do not need to bring them from home.

Folding clothes hanger

Do not forget to put a folding hanger as an additional clothes hanger, pins, and bros (for the veiled) into the list of items that must be carried when traveling. I myself always bring an inflatable trip pillow (it makes sleep more comfortable). Have a nice trip. 😍
