Frequently
traveling out of town makes me and Zauji start marking the criteria of
the hotel we want. One of these criteria is the area of the room. We've
summarized for all of Menong's friends. Let's see the hotel with the
widest room, part 2.
Subang, West Java
Hotel Nalendra Plaza
Hotel
Nalendra Plaza is located at Jl. Major General Sutoyo No. 07, Karanganyar,
Kec. Subang, Subang Regency, West Java 41211. This hotel is located
outside the city center but is closer to the gate of the Subang toll
gate and the row of travel. There are two Nalendra Hotels in Subang, so
make sure Menong's friends choose as needed.
For
Menong friends who need a hotel with enough room, this hotel can be the
best choice. The room area is at least 27 m², which certainly includes
the spaciousness, let alone other hotels in Subang that have a much smaller size.
Menong's
friends still have ample space next to the bed. The room I chose is
right facing the pool (which is in the middle of the building). It’s
just that this swimming pool seems to be used as a place for swimming
courses, so it is relatively crowded in the afternoon.
In
terms of food, Hotel Nalendra Plaza does not offer an interesting menu.
Menong’s friends will be easy to find alternative foods near the hotel.
For size, I rate 4.5/5.
From
outside, this hotel looks spacious with a page that contains many
cars. Unfortunately, this hotel is right next to the widest public
funeral in Subang (this is the reason I chose a room facing the middle
of the hotel). Maybe for some friends of Menong, this can be disturbing, even
though I personally did not have a mystical experience during a 4-day
stay at this hotel.
Garut, West Java
Hotel Star Redante
Hotel
Star Redannet includes a 2-star hotel. This hotel is located on Jl.
Samarang General No. 42, Langensari, Kec. Tarogong Kaler, Garut Regency,
West Java 44151. If Menong's friends want a hotel close to the Cipanas
bath destination, this hotel is not in the tourist area of Cipanas.
Waterboom or hot springs in the room are certainly not in the facilities
that can be provided by this Redannte Star Hotel.
The Redante star is included in one of the hotels at a size of 24 m², in contrast to the area of rooms in tourist areas that
range from 9 to 12 m² with more expensive prices. Menong friends will
get a double bedding facility with a pillow that is super soft 😍, a
large enough cabinet to accommodate a lot of luggage, and of course, it is equipped with a TV, workbench, one chair, and an additional table, which is very
worthy to be an option.
The room of this hotel I give a rating of 4.5/5.
Jeneponto, South Sulawesi
Hotel Bintang Karaeng, Jeneponto
Hotel
Bintang Karaeng is located on Jl. H.V.W., The People of Binamu
Subdistrict, Pabiringa, Kec. Binamu, Jeneponto Regency, South Sulawesi
92316. Actually, this is the second time I visited Jeneponto because
before, when I visited Bulukumba Regency, I had a stopover in Jeneponto to taste coto kuda.
At
that time, December 2011, I went alone without the company of Zauji.
The first impression I got when I arrived at the room was his spacious
room right facing the beach.
The
bathroom is at the back of the room with a semi-outdoor design. The
unique design of the stone floor is combined with an open roof. But
don’t worry, high walls prevent people from peeking.
I
stayed on the 1st floor because all the rooms on the 2nd floor were
larger. Outside of prediction, all night I couldn’t sleep because I was
scared when I heard the waves.
Restaurants are outdoor-style hotels so that Menong’s friends can enjoy breakfast while looking at the waves.
The room of this hotel I give a rating of 4.5/5.
At
leisure, Menong’s friends can take a walk along the beach and see the
activities of traditional fishermen and dried seaweed. In the hotel
area, Menong friends can also take pictures in traditional Sulawesi
homes.
Bandung, West Java
The Palais Dago Hotel, Bandung
I
rarely get a chance to stay in Dago, Bandung. The Palais Dago Hotel,
Bandung, is located on Jl. Ir. H. Juanda No. 90, Lebakgede, Coblong
Subdistrict, Bandung City, West Java 40132. Not far from Borromeus
Hospital and the road to the Upper Dago area. The culinary area in the
ITB and UNPAD area can take Menong friends on foot only. Its strategic
location makes this hotel a friend of Menong's choice.
As well as Hotel Asrilia, which includes the hotel with the widest rooms in Bandung, Palais Dago Hotel seems to be an old hotel in Bandung.
The
Palais Dago Hotel has a design resembling a European building, complete
with a large dome on the front. It's just that the reception area and
the restaurant are not so extensive and do not accommodate many guests. Same
with the limited parking lot. Since Zauji and I came using a duck
motorbike, we had trouble getting a closed parking lot.
Since the lockdown was still being enacted, the atmosphere was very quiet. This is what makes us get a cheap price
for the executive suite room, only Rp. 450,000, compared to the normal price of over 1 million.
The executive suite has an area of 51 m² (it’s very broad?) with a living room, a table in the middle room, a bedroom with a king-size bed, and a spacious bathroom with bathtub. So wide, I always asked Zauji to take me to the bathroom.
One
drawback of this room is the lack of ventilation or sunlight because
all the bedroom windows overlook the central area of the hotel and are in
the building. In the corridor to the restaurant, Menong's friends can
feed the koi fish accompanied by the zeal of pond water.
The size of the area of other rooms is large; the Deluxe room has an area of 32 m², and the Junior Suite has an area of 40 m².
I give it a value of 4.5/5.
Medan, North Sumatra
Hotel Garuda Plaza Medan
This
hotel is located on Jl. Sisingamangaraja No. 18, Mosque, Kec. Medan
Kota, Medan City, North Sumatra 20213. The location, not far from the Al
Mashun Grand Mosque and Maimun Palace, used to be the most successful
hotel in its golden era.
This
old-style hotel has rooms with a fairly large area. Staying on weekdays
makes us get a promo price for an executive room. Rooms equipped with
guest chairs and this bathtub are worth an option.
The room of this hotel I give a rating of 5/5.
Unfortunately, the hotel in the Garuda Group is no longer operating after being hit by the pandemic.
Actually,
there are still many hotels with the widest rooms, but some of these
hotels get a place in our hearts with consideration of comfort and
price.
