Likes
to write and gets upset to find a container to pour all the ideas in the
head into a writing, leading me to enter the world of blogging. 2011
was the starting point for me to learn to write a blog. Limited free
time makes it unthinkable to learn to manage blogs professionally by
maximizing the benefits of content plans for beginner bloggers.
Beginner Bloggers
Blogging and me time
are two things that cannot be separated. The strong pull of the world
of writing is like it has never been separated from my imagination.
Realizing that there is no time to write short stories, I finally ‘slammed the pen’ to be a writer of material to teach.
In
the early 2000s, it felt like the internet had not been maximized by
many people. Living and working in the ‘when’ suburb is not visible on
Google Maps; virtual world access is still limited. It seems that only I can open the internet when returning to Bandung and deliberately hanging
out in the cafe that was still mushrooming.
I
got to know the world of my new blog a few years later. And finally I
got acquainted with WordPress and Blogger, the free blog platforms.
Starting with being a 'reporter' for office activities, I can finally
exist and display my name as an article writer on the blog I
created.
Routinely I make a writing plan, a content plan. What will I write so that the benefits of a content plan for beginner bloggers really feel that it helps me set the schedule of each post? The
easiest way is, of course, to adjust to the schedule of activities that I will 'live' and write it in the work notebook. Because I sometimes act
as a committee, the data of 5 W + 1 H in the writing that I will post
is already listed in the activity guide so that I just do a little
research to complete it.
The
appearance and completeness of the writing are still simple, far from
the rules of SEO that they should be. There are no SEO on-page rules such as
keywords, titles, SEO-friendly permalinks, the number of words (well,
this is it, such as the number of words is still limited to my likes), Latent Semantic Indexing, or LSI. The description and back link may be two parts that I unconsciously apply. Even though the blog was already decorated with photos of my shots, the optimization of images has not been done.
Top-Level Domain
In
2018, I started to get serious about blogging and was encouraged to put
up a top-level domain, or TLD. A friend’s blog is the one that is an
encouragement. In between her busy activities as a pharmacy worker and
the mother of two sons and daughters, she is still able to routinely
post articles that are ‘producing.’ So my cousin's brother still
took the opportunity to manage a blog in the midst of his busy
activities as a manager in a large company. Cool! And the secret is, of
course, a good content plan.
After
successfully replacing the blog domain with TLD, I began to obsess over
the spirit of learning to blog. Every time I aim to study how to be a good blogger. The
pandemic seemed to give the freedom of time to study more. In many classes
that I have participated in, I also began to get acquainted and join in
various communities. And the community at once became a class full of
surprises that made my blogging world more colorful.
And
I also started learning how to do blog walking and share every post I
posted to social media, Instagram, and Twitter. In the past, this part I
always skipped because I don’t have any social media at all.
Blogwalking
also helps me to plan posts regularly so that I do not diligently ditch
and let the dashboard become a place of no-dwell as I often do first.
Ideas that sometimes appear suddenly I usually write directly in the HP notepad that I will complete later.
The material that I routinely make is still about the retinal ablation.
Conversations with doctors I always record to make it easier for me to
remember when writing. Sub-chapter I wrote in the notepad. In addition,
I also have one group on WhatsApp whose contents are only myself as a
place to store all the ideas that will be developed.
Of
course I also have to develop other topics because the frequency of
control of the Zauji routine at Cicendo Hospital Bandung began to decrease.
In the blogpedia class, we also learned how to search for keywords, which helped me a lot to explore the idea more deeply.
Consistency of Blogger
Consistency
is the key to all the lessons we have gone on. Maybe this is the
hardest factor, especially for me, who always has a million reasons for
delaying writing. Since getting to know SEO, I just found out that the
consistency of posts will make our blog have a ‘good’ value in the eyes
of Google.
2022 is my best year to learn a blog, and of course my hope is that in 2023 the JustMenong blog will be better. It’s not just the page view
that increases, and the opportunity to bring in additional ‘generations’
is getting closer; the usefulness of the blog for Menong’s friends is
the most important point for me.
This consistency certainly starts with ‘Plan.’ And of course, ‘plan’ is not only filled with intentions but also action—how we carry out execution. Not grand-muluk; one week and one post are
enough for me to bring the blog to life. Although I am now starting to
get used to writing one article with as many as 800 words in one day, thanks to Blogspedia, I realize the time limitation is an obstacle for beginner bloggers like me.
The content plan
began to form in my head, beginning with a theme of what I was going to
do. Everyday experience will certainly make it easier for the ‘Plan’
that I compiled. Review of the hotel or culinary that I tried during the
task trip, the notes of the healthy story of Zauji and Mother, or
anything else that I did myself. The content plan can be adjusted to the label that we have created to tidy up the post.
There
is one other thing that I learned and applied according to my personal
condition: writing things that are experienced by myself and then
matching keywords using SEO tools for keyword difficulty, volume, and
results. For example, one of the articles that I will write in the
framework of One Day, One Post next week. Keywords: Cheap Jompo in
Bandung.
The content plan
can be written in any medium, depending on the comfort of Menong’s
friends. I personally simply write in the notepad or directly create a
blog title on the dashboard so that I can easily access it anywhere,
including when the idea of the content of the article suddenly appears.
Title, subtitles, and even images that we will paste in the post. When
there is an opportunity to open a new laptop, I pour in the form of words. Menong’s friends can peek at the content plan that I have made for next week.
Personal
experience will facilitate research that we have to do so that the time
to make the writing is shorter, like the typical culinary Cianjur and
reviews about hotels in Garut, my trip and Zauji, halal chicken in
Denpasar, Bali as souvenirs two weeks ago, and others.
Next,
look for other topics that are SEO-friendly and also that I understand well. with
an even label. Like that, I need to add a lot of articles on the label
that have not been much worked on. Well, what is the content
plan for the years to come? Can we think about it from now on? Of
course it can! In addition to motivating us to keep writing, our annual content plan is made to set the target we want to achieve.
Maybe this is one of the tricks that can be used so that the benefits of a content plan for beginner bloggers like me become easier to apply. And of course, do
not forget to execute and learn continuously so that the blog we manage
is better.
