Final Retina Ablasio Surgery Experience Part 7

Post a Comment

The experience of retinal ablation surgery that we took earlier made us acquainted with almost all the doctors of retinal subspecialists in Cicendo Hospital. After the operation of the seventh retinal ablation, we are still routinely checking the condition of Zauji. This time we focus on consulting at the Cicendo Bandung Hospital pavilion clinic.

Doctors often state retinal dialysis, which is a condition of detachment of the retina or the lining of the eye, from its original position and can cause permanent blindness because the retina gets less oxygen and nutrients. Action as soon as possible cannot be bargained again.

By the 3rd month after the seventh post-surgery, the position of the retina is still not fully recovered; there is still a wet part, so it is feared that the retina will be released again when the HD oxane is evacuated in the near future.

Post-Operation Routine Control

After this 7th retinal ablation surgery, the feelings of both of us were relatively fine. The controls are scheduled once a month, and we deliberately consulted with the same doctor in the pavilion clinic, namely Prof. Arief S. Kartasasmita, dr., SpM(K), M.Kes., M.PHd, who performs the seventh operation, the installation of silicon HD.

Three months passed, and Alhamdulillah, Zauji's retina condition is in good condition, meaning that the added HD silicone oxygen works effectively. It's a relief.

Although the use of silicone HD octane is recommended not to be more than 3 months, Prof. Arief suggests maintaining silicone HD octane as long as possible so that the retina attaches perfectly. Evacuation (demonstration) of silicone oxasana HD will only be done when emulsions have been formed or other things interfere with the condition of the retina or the eye in general.

The condition of Zauji's eyes is still the same as before; he can only look at it vaguely, but there is no longer a blank like it used to be. This condition has to be maintained, and, of course, we are grateful.

Eye Pressure Rises

Qodarullah, in the 4th month, something happened. Zauji's eye pressure suddenly rising to 40 means red alert because it indicates glaucoma. There were no symptoms at all as before, like dizziness or nausea, so Zauji felt fine.

Prof. Arief S. Kartasasmita, dr., SpM (K), M.Kes., M.M., PhD, provides a referral for consultation with a doctor for glaucoma. We are also meeting with Dr. Maula Rifada, SpM(K). Pressure in the eye rises due to the buildup of fluid that could be due to the presence of silicone in the eye.

He suggested the operation in the form of making channels to remove the liquid. As a result, silicon must be evacuated first. This condition is simalakama for us. The creation of channels can only done when the eye is clean from silicon while the condition of the retina that has been removed Repeatedly, it will be susceptible to tearing back when the silicon is removed.

Because of the required surgery, we returned to the clinic regularly via BPJS. The experience of retinal ablation surgery is further a reflection of maximum effort.
