Because we brought children, of course we had to find accommodation that was comfortable and decent but also kept a low budget. We also agreed to pay separate expenses for lodging and food but to split expenses for gas and toll roads. Actually, we have many relatives who have lived in Yogyakarta for a long time, but because of the large group, of course, it will be a hassle for the host we will be visiting.

We chose the lower floor adjoining the kitchen. Guests are allowed to take drinking water from the dispenser located in the kitchen. Zauji and I chose a room with AC for 2 people at a rate of Rp. 112,000/night, while Buya and Umah chose a room with AC for 3 people at a rate of Rp. 172,000/night. The room is clean, and the mattress is soft with a spring bed. Each room faces the terrace so fresh air comes in through the windows.

The main house is still occupied by the owner of the homestay, whom we were only able to meet the next day. He seems to be a retired employee. Previously, behind the main house, there was still unproductive vacant land, so the owner took the initiative to build rooms for rent.
He greeted us and asked about our needs to go to Yogyakarta. From friendly words, we share stories. The good thing is, this homestay is close to many tourist destinations in the city of Yogya, Alun-alun Kidul, Taman Sari, Yogyakarta Palace, Kilometer Zero Point, and Malioboro, which can be reached in 5-10 minutes by car.
We also took time to walk around the city the next day. We asked permission from the homestay owner for a late checkout because the items were still in the room. He allows no later than 13.00 WIB.
Thank God, around 11.00 WIB we returned to the homestay and checked out after the midday prayer.
