Nature
tourism, exploring the country, is an activity that I do in my free time.
Maybe Menong's friends also realize that Indonesia is blessed with
extraordinary beauty.
Beautiful Green
That's the name given to my friend, a consultant from Germany, a few years ago. Not
wrong if this nickname is pinned on a country that is very beautiful,
Indonesia. Being born and growing up in a densely populated area made me lose
lots of exciting moments playing with nature as a child. And no wonder, now, when
given the opportunity to visit the beach or the mountains, I always enjoy the excitement of each trip I take.
Ngabolang, aka natural tourism, becomes
a fixed ritual that I live when there is free time, especially when I
get the opportunity to visit new places. Exploring every corner of the
archipelago, which is full of diversity, is always an unforgettable,
exciting adventure.
The waves and the blue sea are like opium that attracts me to chat longer. Of the many destinations and beaches I have visited, there are some that are my favorites, including (of course) Raja Ampat, West Papua, and Tanjung Bira, South Sulawesi.
Raja Ampat, Sorong, West Papua
Raja Ampat presents a panoramic view of amazing nature that will amaze the bolangers with all its beauty.
Located in Raja Ampat Regency, West Papua, the Raja Ampat archipelago stretches for 4.6 million hectares, which includes rock islands with their stunning underwater waters.
Apart from the charm of its beaches, Raja Ampat is one of the most visited tourist areas that maintains and protects Indonesian fauna with unique species of fish, mollusks, reef corals, and marine biota such as seahorses and dugongs, so it's not surprising that it has been named the best diving destination in the world.
Raja Ampat is one of
so many natural tourist destinations to explore in my proud country, which still maintains its authenticity. No hustle and bustle; Menong friends will be pampered with friendly natural attractions and an environment that brings serenity and peace. Here's one of the choices to travel without destroying nature and the environment.
At Piaynemo Homestay,
I was fascinated by the rows of wooden-walled inns in the mangrove forest area
that blends with the beauty of nature. The breeze ripples accompany anyone
who take a break to relieve fatigue.
While the others are coolly
enjoying the beauty under the sea, I went around the island scraping every stanza of memories by tracing the beauty of the bathed colorful boat lights and the laughter of children who are looking for hermit crabs on the beach
and sitting silently on the pier watching foreign tourists practice kayaking.
Tanjung Bira, Bulukumba, South Sulawesi
Another beach that became
My favorite destination is Tanjung Bira Beach, Bulukumba , which can be reached in 6 hours by road from Makassar,
the provincial capital of South Sulawesi. Fatigue paid off with the waves and
calm blue ocean. I fell in love at first sight like that first step on a stretch of white sand combined with a longitudinal valley
along this beautiful beach.
Not only the beach, but even the mountains
are my choice to enjoy the beauty of nature. Raised in a basin in Bandung, which incidentally is surrounded by mountains, aka surrounded by mountains, i.e., automatically familiar with the atmosphere of cool air and the distinctive aroma of the highlands.
Bromo, East Java
Bromo being my favorite
all the time. The beauty of Bromo, which stretches like a painting, makes anyone want to be amazed by the greatness of God. Bromo is a place that will open up the beauty of Indonesia
in the eyes of the world. A combination of towering mountain peaks, gray clouds, and
the green valley is like a perfect harmony that traces every longing soul
blending with nature. Bromo is an endless source of inspiration.
The largest volcanic area in East Java is located in the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park (TNBTS). Besides
enjoying the sunrise at Love Hill, which must be reached by climbing
hundreds of stairs, I was also stunned by the vast expanse of the caldera that became
the second destination as well as where we enjoyed breakfast.
Ocean view:
endless 10 km of sand when the return journey is only part
tempting treasures of beauty to stop by and explore Bromo.Tracks
specifically for tourists have been specially provided as part of efforts to
maintain and protect forests in the TNBTS area.
The Bromo area is known as Land
of Edelweis , Anaphalis javanica . For the sake of maintaining and protecting flora
In Indonesia, the ban on picking wild Edelwise flowers in nature has been around for a long time
enforced to prevent extinction.
And of course, Menong's friends must comply with it, yes, in order to protect the environment. In order to contribute to
maintaining the diversity that exists in Indonesia, one of them is flora diversity. But don't worry, now there's a lot of Edelweiss cultivation so that the bolangers can still make the flower a symbol of this immortality as a fruit of the hand.
Since the Covid-19pandemic, of course the plan has gone farther and farther from wishful thinking. However, neither Zauji nor I lost the way to enjoy the holiday. Armed with strict health protocols, there are still some tourist attractions that we can go to, especially in the Greater Bandung area, one of which is Rengganis Crater.
Rengganis Crater, Bandung, West Java
Crater
Rengganis, also known as Cibuni Crater, is located in the Ciwidey area, ± 40 km south of Bandung city.
Reached within ± 2 hours, Rengganis Crater is not far from Kawah Putih and Situ
Patengan. The crater originates from the eruption of Mount Patuha (Ancient Sundanese Mountain).
can be used as an alternative to other natural attractions that are not so crowded with visitors,
especially in the morning.
Only passable by two-wheeled vehicles, the Crater area
Rengganis almost looks original and unpolished, except for 2 pools that are
intended for bathing. The smell of sulfur and rocks that emit
white steam adds to the exoticism of this place. In addition, Rengganis Crater
offers an interesting spot against a backdrop of a bluish-green lake
surrounded by green valleys that are still beautiful.
There is no official entry ticket price; aka, Menong's friends can enter freely, only paying a voluntary fee as a substitute for fees for care that is still managed by the local community. Zauji and I came early on purpose; other than to avoid the crowds and interact with
lots of people, the morning air is still quite fresh in the morning, and we chose to drive
on my favorite motorcycle.
Although not all tourist destinations'
nature imposes rules strictly, we should be obliged to protect the living environment so that the diversity of natural tourism remains sustainable in its authenticity. Earth's natural paradise is a gift entrusted by God that we must guard and preserve.
Throw garbage in its place,
reduce the use of plastic waste, and do not do vandalism or destruction of the ecosystem. This is an absolute thing when ngabolang nature tourism. Come on, make Indonesia proud by doing something for my earth.
