Traveling alone or staycation—maybe that's the keyword that binds me and Zauji. Of the many places, of course we have a dream to see the world again by visiting many other beautiful places. And of course the business of booking hotels at Traveloka is a very important stage. So, when traveling together, it's usually Zauji who makes sure all the accommodations, planes/trains, and hotels are met.

To be honest, even though I often travel to various regions, I am a nervous wreck when it comes to traveling. Complete information about interesting tourist or culinary destinations I usually get from friends who have visited or tried it first. Apart from being more updated, direct testimonials from a friend will, of course, provide more accurate information than filtering reviews or reviews on the internet.
But it's different with hotel reviews; Zauji and I diligently search through the Traveloka app. Menong's friends can see these reviews on Traveloka Hotels.

Thank God, travel restrictions at the beginning of the pandemic are now starting to be relaxed, although they are still within certain limits, such as the need for booster vaccines and others. This certainly opens up wider opportunities for us to see the world again with Traveloka by booking cheap hotels on the Traveloka app to enjoy the excitement of visiting Indonesian tourist attractions.

Actually, impromptu 'healing' or staycations—Zauji and I have often done it since the beginning of our marriage. If at first we let go of our fatigue just going around Bandung Raya, like having fun on motorbikes to Rengganis Crater, Ciwidey, Bandung, and the West Java regencies, just like taking a beautiful walk in Garut Regency, last month we held a family date to the neighboring province, DIY Yogyakarta.

Labuan Bajo
Labuan Bajo is the first tourist destination that I most want to visit. Labuan Bajo is located far in the eastern part of Indonesia. Located in Komodo District, West Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province. Labuan Bajo, which is the gateway to Komodo National Park, is directly adjacent to the province of West Nusa Tenggara and is only separated by the Sape Strait, the strait between Sumbawa Island to the west and Komodo Island to the east.
These are the three reasons why I chose Labuan Bajo!
Pursuing Mother's Dreams
Since I started working, my mother has always conveyed her wish that one day one of her daughters could set foot in her mother's hometown, namely Kupang City, East Nusa Tenggara. Even though she had toured several areas because she followed Aki, who served as a soldier, until now Mother has never returned to her homeland. Especially now when you are old and your physical condition is no longer what it used to be.
East Nusa Tenggara is my obsession to fulfill Mother's request plus my dream to stop by one of the world's favorite destinations.
Komodo National Park
Who does not know this giant lizard, the pride of Indonesia? And the existence of Labuan Bajo started with the discovery of this giant lizard!
Talking about Labuan Bajo, we will also talk about Komodo Island. For Menong's friends who are still confused, actually Komodo Island is one of the famous tourist destinations that we can find in Labuan Bajo.
Komodo dragons were enshrined in a scientific journal in 1912. Written by Pieter Antonie Ouwens, Director of the Bogor Zoological Museum, with the title "On a Large Varanus Species from the Island of Komodo," and is now part of the library of the New York Botanical Garden.
The echo of the uniqueness of the inhabitants of Komodo Island, Varanus komodoensis, or Komodo, is the main attraction that invites many foreign tourists, including famous celebrities, to visit. And since 1980, the Komodo dragon and its habitat, which includes hundreds of species of fauna, fish, coral reefs, grasslands, savannas, and tropical forests, have been protected within the Komodo National Park area of 1,773 km².
As a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site and one of the Seven Wonders of Indonesia, Komodo National Park is certainly a strong magnet for getting to know the natural tourist destinations that we are proud of.
Super Priority Destinations
Labuan Bajo is about 30 hours or 790 km away by car from Kupang City or by direct flight to Komodo International Airport.
What's interesting about this super priority tourist destination being developed by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy?
It's not wrong if hidden paradise is pinned as the nickname of Labuan Bajo. Apart from the Komodo National Park with all its uniqueness, Menong friends can also enjoy the natural beauty of various beautiful spots in Labuan Bajo and capture them in a memorable frame. Walk on the Red Beach (Pink Beach) with its beautiful reddish sand, trek while enjoying the exotic hills on Padar Island, play in the water or dive on Gusung Island, enjoy the freshness of the Cunca Wulang waterfall or explore the enchanting stalactites in Rangko Cave.
And of course, booking a cheap hotel on Traveloka to get the best hotel facilities is a dream for both of us. Plataran Komodo Beach Resort, Laprima Hotel, and Bintang Flores Hotel feel like the ideal hotels to accompany healing with your spouse.

Bangka Belitung
Bangka Belitung is an island in the province of Bangka Belitung, which is famous for its beautiful beaches that amaze the heart. Bandung-Bangka can also be reached by road (car) connected by ferry or by plane. Flight tickets are available at Traveloka. We ourselves often book plane tickets via Traveloka, like when we traveled to Bali some time ago.

White sand
Born and raised in a big city surrounded by mountains, I rarely get to know the beauty of the sea. Can be counted on the fingers, the number of times I had the opportunity to visit the beach when I was little. Now, the beach is the main tourist destination that I will visit when I visit various areas in between my duty trips.
I was so excited and in love, I was even determined to take a one-day trip to Raja Ampat alone without Zauji or friends while visiting Sorong Regency, West Papua.
Well, I can't wait to set foot and enjoy the beautiful white sand combined with the blue sea in Bangka Belitung.
Granite Stone
This is what I like about beaches that are outside Java Island, such as Trikora Beach, Bintan Regency, and Riau Archipelago. The beach in Bangka Belitung also has a relatively large expanse of granite rocks that are scattered almost all over the coast.
Large granite stones seem to be beach icons in Bangka Belitung and add to the exoticism of the beach and are very worthy of being Instagrammable spots. The sloping contours of the beach and calm waves seem to call us to capture the best journey with joy.
Seafood
As a seafood fan, going to the beach is heaven for me. Imagine enjoying a delicious dish of fresh seafood directly at the taverns on the beach. And don't forget coconut water served from whole grains as a companion in the heat of the hot air. Hmmmm, already imagined yummy yaaa!!!
Bangka Belitung Island can be an option for another staycation. Wow, the results of hunting for reviews on Traveloka Hotel, Sheraton Belitung Resort, BW Suite Belitung, and Santika Premiere Beach Resort Belitung.

Malang, East Java
Malang, East Java, is the nearest dream destination that we really want to visit. Zauji and I already have plans to go to the eastern part of Java. Several years ago, I personally had an exciting walk in Malang and its surroundings, including an apple orchard, Bromo, and the Angkut museum.

Many Exciting Tourist Attractions
Not only do the atmosphere and weather remind me of the beloved city of Bandung, but Malang (city and regency) also has many exciting tourist destinations that Menong friends can visit. And uniquely, this ideal tourist destination is not only dominated by the nuances of the mountains but also the sea and beaches, which can be reached in not too far distances.
Call it the Gunung Banyak Sky Park, Jatim Park 1-3, Bajulmati Beach, Parang Dowo Beach, Coban Rondo Waterfall, and others.
Tours in the middle of the city are no less stunning, such as the Thematic Village and the Firefly Park. Of course, these cool places can be places to enjoy memorable dates with Zauji.
Visiting Friends
When I applied for a job transfer to return to the city of Bandung, unexpectedly one of my colleagues followed in my footsteps to return to the land of his birth. Of course the distance between us is getting farther and the duration of meetings is getting rare too.
Even though we are still communicating via WhatsApp, whether voice calls or video calls, it is hoped that the moment of traveling to Malang will act as an intermediary so that we can meet again.
Nostalgia
Naaah, maybe this is an important reason to visit Malang. As I have often said in several posts, up until now Zauji and Zauji's mother still routinely communicate in Javanese even though we live in Pasundan land.
This ability to speak Javanese was honed when Zauji went to school in Java, to be precise, in Madiun. The plan for a staycation in Malang is not only for sightseeing but also to stop by to reminisce in the city of Brem while enjoying my favorite authentic Madiun pecel.
Another vacation with Traveloka should also be supported by the best hotels. Until now, through Traveloka Hotels, which I have used for a long time, Amartahills Hotel and Resort Batu, Golden Tulip Holland Resort Batu and HARRIS Hotel & Convention Malang, it has become a dream.
