Streets in the city of Malang are a favorite tourist destination in eastern Java. There are many locations that can be visited in the city, and, unexpectedly, the atmosphere and weather remind me of my beloved city of Bandung. Visiting Malang, East Java, is incomplete if you don't explore the tourist cities around it, including exploring Bromo, a breathtaking journey.
Exploring
Bromo is a must while visiting Malang. After looking for information
about a tour guide that can take us to Bromo, we are ready. (1.8
million rupiah for a group with a maximum of 6 people).
Exploration
to Mount Bromo can be reached only by using a jeep provided by the tour
guide. At midnight, we were ready to arrive before dawn. The trip
is recommended to be done after midnight so you can enjoy the sunrise at
Bromo. Located ± 65 km from Malang City, a trip to Bromo can be
reached in 2 hours.

The first spot is Love Hill, one of the best places to enjoy the sunrise in Bromo. After sunrise, we continued our journey. The second spot is savanna, a vast expanse of the caldera south of Mount Bromo. Padang Savanna can be a place to unwind as well as have breakfast after enjoying the sunrise on the hill of love.

Even though the road conditions are decreasing, the natural beauty on the right and left of the road keeps the eyes from getting bored and tired.

While
enjoying a breakfast of bread, eggs, and milk, we unwind while taking
pictures. Then we started the return journey through the whispering
sand by skipping the climb to the Bromo crater due to limited time.
It's enough to have a wefie in the area where the colorful jeeps are parked. If you want to continue to the Bromo crater area, Menong friends can travel by horseback.

The sea of sand whispers to be a friend on the way home. Even though the journey is quite far, the scenery is still beautiful, and the caldera makes the trip seem faster. It's not wrong if Bromo is hunted by tourists; every curve is a dazzling beauty.
Even though the roads are winding and
uneven, don't worry; the jeep drivers are very well trained and familiar with the terrain, so steep areas will be easily missed. Occasionally we stop
in several beautiful spots, such as the Teletubbies Hill.

Because
the cost of the trip includes breakfast, we
stop at a house to enjoy an East Javanese breakfast. The menu served
is simple: fried tempeh, spicy seasoned eggs, tofu vegetables, fried fish, and chili sauce, accompanied by a glass of sweet tea. All spicy
as usual, of course, but the cold air and fatigue make anything feel
good.
At 10:30 am,we arrived back in town
poor.
Exploring nature has always been one
extraordinary journey to meditate on God's creation.
And exploring Bromo… It was totally a breathtaking journey.
