Taste,
it's been a long time since I've harbored a desire to enjoy the urban jungle of Taman
Babakan Siliwangi, better known as Baksil. Even though I
spent a lot of time in the Jalan Ganesha area for more than 2 years, never once did I stop by one of the green open spaces (Green Area Public) in the city of Bandung, which since 2011 has been proclaimed as
the world's urban forest by the United Nations.
Bacillus
itself is a valley area formed by the Cikapundung River and has been the green belt area of the city of Bandung since the Dutch era. Got hit by the pros and
cons a few years ago, the area that eventually came under management,
the responsibility of the Bandung city government, is transformed into a popular tourist destination for sightseeing as well as sports in the city of Bandung.
In this 8-hectare area, Menong friends can explore the 2-kilometer pedestrian-only rides while enjoying
the melodious sound of birds and squirrels jumping from branch to branch. This forest walk stretches from the Jalan Siliwangi to the Jalan Tamansari area with a fresh forest atmosphere. Equipped with park benches for just
a place to rest and chat with family or friends.
Location
Baksil is close to Cikapundung Terrace and Bandung Zoo, and Menong's friends can continue sightseeing to Punclut or Taman Hutan Raya Ir. H. Juanda within half an hour. Baksil is also adjacent to the Ganesha sports facility (Saraga),
equipped with an athletics track, a football field, futsal field, basketball, volleyball, and tennis, a fitness center, and a swimming pool.
