Holidays are one of the things we regularly do. I’d long been planning to take a trip to Yogyakarta. Zauji wants to follow the United Muslims held at the Jogokariyan Mosque. Qodarullah, the retinal ablation forced us to take a break for three years and only ‘go around West Java alone.
Family Date
In the third year, the condition of Zauji's retinal ablation has begun to stabilize so we plan to continue our dream of 'healing' to Yogyakarta. Unexpectedly, one of the close friends invited us to visit our best friend, who was continuing to study at Gajah Mada University, Yogyakarta.
Healing in Yogya has often been triggered but was only carried out in September 2022. Starting from sending each other news on Wednesday, we finally decided to directly execute this plan on Saturday.
Buya and Umah, this call for my close friend's married couple, has 3 toddlers aged 5, 4, and 2 years. The Ummah itself is in a state of pregnancy with a gestational age of 7 months. Traveling with toddlers and pregnant women is certainly not easy. In the beginning, I asked about the health condition of the Ummah when traveling far. He himself assured it was fine.
We agreed to use a private car to save on transportation and, of course, facilitate mobility. Because Zauji is no longer able to drive, Buya is waiting to drive alone from Bandung to Yogyakarta and back. We departed from Bandung on Saturday morning via the toll road.

To be honest, I have always used one application to find hotels, trains, or plane tickets. I also always rely on Zauji to find the best information when we are going to travel using public transportation and have to find our own lodging.
Thank God Umah is ready to help find information. Umah advises choosing a homestay because it is relatively free for children and the price is cheaper. From a special homestay site in Yogyakarta, we found some homestays that we could choose.

We arrived in Yogyakarta more and more before the Dzuhur prayer and immediately slid into our friend's house located in the Kaliurang area.
Since we haven’t seen each other, we’ve certainly spent time chatting at length. Thank God our friend is also blessed with 3 toddler princesses whose age is not much different from the daughters of Buya and Umah. Of course, adding to the excitement of this impromptu reunion.

I and Zauji chose a room with air conditioning for 2 people with a rate of Rp. 112,000/night, while Buya and Umah chose a room with air conditioning for 3 people with a rate of Rp. 172,000/night. The room is clean and the mattress is padded with a spring bed. Each room faces the porch so that fresh air enters through the window.
The main house is still inhabited by the homestay owner's mother, whom we could only meet the next day. He was apparently a retired officer. In the past, behind the main house was still in the form of unproductive vacant land so the owner took the initiative to build rooms for rent.
He greeted us and asked about our need to go to Yogyakarta. From a friendly word, we shared stories with each other. Nicely, this homestay is adjacent to many tourist destinations in the city of Yogya, including Alun-alun Kidul, Taman Sari, Keraton Yogyakarta, Point Zero Kilometer, and Malioboro, which can be reached in 5-10 minutes by car.
We also took the opportunity to take a walk around the city the next day. We ask the homestay owner for a slower checkout because the goods are still in the room. He allowed the origin of no more than 13.00 WIB.
Thank God at around 11.00 p.m. we had returned to the homestay and checked out after the prayer dhuhur.
