Hotels in Cipanas, Cianjur - Just Menong

In the past, when the Jakarta-Bandung tollway had not been built, everyone would return to Bogor; inevitably, we would go through Cianjur Regency and the famous Peak Pass line. Cipanas is one of my favorite areas because of the beautiful scenery that we can enjoy. Now there are many hotels in Cipanas, Cianjur, as an attraction for tourists.

An attractive geographical structure brings Cianjur to be one of the mountainous tourist destinations that becomes a favorite of tourists. Moreover, the area adjacent to the Puncak Pass area in Bogor Regency.

Cipanas became a sub-district in Cianjur, which is included in the tourist area of Puncak because it is located directly adjacent. It is in this sub-district that Cipanas Palace, the Presidential Palace with an area of 26 hectares, was established in 1740.

The Cipanas area also has many other tourist destinations, such as Taman Bunga Nusantara, Cibodas Botanical Garden, and Curug Citambur, which have been viral lately.

It is not strange if the hotel or lodging in Cianjur is located in the Cipanas area.

Palace Hotel

I stayed at the Palace Hotel twice. Palace Hotel is located on Jalan Raya Cipanas KM 81.2, Cipanas, Puncak, West Java. This hotel is located on the Cipanas Highway, not far from the Presidential Palace. Because it is located on the side of the highway, Menong's friends will find many public facilities, such as minimarkets, pharmacies, and restaurants. Menong's friends can slide into Cipanas Market by using public transportation right in front of the hotel. Culinary satay maranggi, typical Sundanese restaurant, and other culinary typical Cianjur culinary delights were lined up for Menong's friends to choose.

The first time I got a room with a deluxe twin bed with a balcony overlooking the highway, and the second time I got a room with a deluxe single bed with a balcony overlooking the pool area right in the middle of the hotel. Hotel rates range from Rp. 500,000 without breakfast.

In general, rooms at the Palace Hotel have a 32 m² kurleb area, which means they are more spacious than the average area of other hotel rooms. This hotel has a semi-open concept, so Menong friends who like the concept of a hotel or inn with open space will love the Palace Hotel. The deluxe single-bed room I chose has an elongated area, so the bathroom is more spacious. Room lights are also bright, so it is suitable for reading.

It’s just that the position of the elevator will be very confusing for guests who are just visiting and still not familiar with the hotel area. A direct elevator is not available for hotel rooms that are on the right, so guests must go to the central area of the hotel near the swimming pool in order to board the intended elevator. The first time, I was also confused when I was about to check in because the receptionist was on the second floor.

In addition to the spacious room, I also often pay attention to the breakfast menu at each hotel. The Palace provides a standard breakfast menu (nasi and her friends, bread, milk, cereals, and pudding) without much choice. But don’t worry, it feels good. The cold air of the morning also makes the restaurant that is semi-opening feel cold but also refreshing.

The facilities available are very complete, including a spacious parking lot, a swimming pool (for adults and children), children's playgrounds, and spacious fields for outdoor activities. For Menong friends who come with family, the Palace Hotel can be the best choice of hotels in Cipanas Cianjur because of the spacious swimming pool. For children who are quite large, Menong's friends can keep an eye on them directly from the balcony of the room. Children’s playgrounds are also provided enough to make children happy during their stay at the hotel.

Hotel Yasmin Cipanas

Hotel Yasmin Cipanas is located on Jalan Jeprave No. 69 Palasari, Cipanas, Puncak, Cipanas. Actually, Hotel Yasmin is in the area of Yasmin Resort and Conference Hotel, which has an area of 5.8 hectares.

If Menong's friends have never stayed at this hotel before, it will certainly not be easy to find this hotel area because it is quite far from the highway close to RSU Cimacan. All tired will be paid off because the hotel is designed exclusively in one area right facing Mount Gede.

In the hotel area, there are many buildings that will certainly make you confused when going to check in. Each building has a self-contained parking space, making it easy to park. The distance between the buildings is also not too far and interspersed with villa-type rooms that are suitable for families. Unfortunately, there is no slipperiness so that when it rains or heats, it will be more pronounced. Among friends who choose hotel-type rooms can go directly to the Yasmin Hotel, which is at the very back.

When I arrived at the hotel area, I was greeted by a group of soap opera artists who were filming. Because of the pandemic, not many guests come, so the atmosphere looks quiet.

Initially I got a room with a double bed with a size of 28 m². The room condition does not seem to be very well maintained due to the effects of the pandemic. The location of the room window is right facing a large tree in the color of mussel green with dangling roots that give the impression of dark. Finally, I asked for another brighter room.

Since the room with a double bed is up, the attendant offered me a room with a twin bed but with the same area overlooking the parking lot. The interior of the room looks magnificent with old-model furniture.

The guest room is on the 2nd and 3rd floors. The entire 1st floor contains only a ballroom and meeting room, so it will feel quiet when night falls.

Unfortunately the room light is a little dim, plus the wifi, which is not so good, makes me slightly turn off in style when nightfall comes. Moreover, the dining room is in the opposite building, which we have to walk to on foot, with the condition of the villa room that is uninhabited next to the hotel.

The food menu varies with a fairly good taste, plus the cool atmosphere in the open room gives me a plus for one of the hotels in Cipanas Cianjur. Every morning, I also took the morning to walk while breathing fresh air.

Because being in a remote area, of course, access to public facilities will be rare. When Menong friends need some items, such as sanitary pads, soap, shampoo, or regular snacks, near the hotel there is a small stall.

Hotel rates start at Rs. 300,000. Hotel Yasmin has many facilities suitable for family or outbound events. In addition to a super large swimming pool equipped with water games, there is also a tennis court and a basketball court for sports. Hotel Yasmin can be a recommendation for families while spending holidays at hotels in Cipanas, Cianjur.
