Apart from Bandung and Cianjur, Bogor is a city of memories because my mother's family comes from this rainy city. In November 2022, I visited Buitenzorg again, as Bogor was called during the Dutch colonial era. This time I will review the Padjadjaran Suite Hotel Bogor or the Padjadjaran Suites Resort & Convention Hotel, where we stayed.
Depart from Bandung
For this opportunity, I departed from Bandung to Padjadjaran Suites Resort & Convention Hotel without Zauji accompanying me. Agreeing to use public transportation, we finally looked for information on several available modes of transportation.
The first option is, of course, the intercity bus. The bus heading to Bogor from the city of Bandung can be chosen by Menong's friends at the Leuwipanjang Bandung terminal. Most of them are AC buses. Menong's friends can choose the MGI or Bela Utama bus with a fare of Rp. 90,000. This AC bus will take the route via the Cikunir Toll Road so that the travel time is shorter, around 4 hours. The AC bus via Cikunir will end at the Baranangsiang Terminal right across from the Jagorawi Baranangsiang Toll Gate.
Another option for Economy AC heading for Tasikmalaya-Jakarta 'Prayer for Mother' or for Garut-Jakarta 'Karunia Bakti' is Menong's friends' ride in the Padalarang area (right around the corner from Kota Baru Parahyangan, West Bandung Regency, not far from the Padalarang Toll Gate) with a fare of Rp. 75,000 with the route through Puncak Pass so travel time cannot be predicted depending on traffic conditions (it can take around 7 hours). Of course Menong's friends have to stop in the Ciawi area to continue their journey to Bogor City.
It's just that I couldn't take these two options because, from the Padjajaran Suite Hotel Bogor review, this hotel was located far from the Baranangsiang terminal and of course I had to choose a travel pool that approached the hotel to make it easier because of the many items I had to carry alone.
The next choice fell on traveling to Bandung Bogor. Of all the travel options, most of the travel pools end at Bogor Trade Mall or BTM. There is one travel service that serves door-to-door, namely Aragon Transport, but with an estimated time of 6 hours, I prefer other travel.
Finally I found one Bandung–Bogor travel that ended at Bogor Nirwana Residence (BNR), Sinar Jaya Shuttle. The Sinar Jaya Shuttle Pool is located at the Bandung Trade Center (BTC). Tariff Pasteur Bandung - Bogor Nirwana Residence Rp. 130,000. There is no official pool in the BNR area. There is only one small counter located near the BNR Pujasera so Menong's friends can wait to be picked up and enjoy culinary offerings.
Padjadjaran Suites Resort & Convention Hotel is 5 minutes away by motorcycle or car from the Sinar Jaya Shuttle BNR pool.
Location
Padjadjaran Suites Resort & Convention Hotel, better known as Pajajaran Suite Hotel Bogor, is a well-known 4-star hotel in the city of Bogor. Located in the Bogor Nirwana Residence area, precisely on Jl. Bogor Inner Ring Road Lot. XIX C-2 No. 17, Bogor Nirwana Residence, Bogor, West Java, Indonesia, 16132, this hotel offers many attractive facilities for Menong friends who plan to spend time in the city of Bogor.
Padjadjaran Suites Resort & Convention Hotel is often confused with Padjadjaran Hotel, which is located at Jl. Pajajaran No. 17, Warung Jambu, North Bogor, Bogor, Indonesia, 16153, because the names are very similar. No wonder, because both are under the auspices of the same company.
Because I didn't know the way, I chose the wrong destination point, so the Grab car drove towards the Padjadjaran Hotel on Jl. Parallel. Thank God, after only a few meters, I realized the opposite direction from the initial instructions so the driver turned around.
Located in the Bogor Nirwana Residence area, the first impression I got was, of course, that the hotel I was going to would be very attractive because it was in a luxurious area. Unfortunately, the location is far from the crowds and there is no access to public transportation except for private vehicles or online transportation, making it difficult for Menong friends to shop at mini markets or find nearby culinary delights.
So prepare enough supplies so you don't have to bother leaving the hotel if you need something. Thank God, when I got off the travel, I saw rows of food courts and minimarkets.
Room Choices
From a search for references, Padjadjaran Suites Resort & Convention Hotel has an area of around 4,000 square meters (yep!) with eight floors of a building designed in a modern minimalist manner.
Opened since 2012, this hotel is a four-star hotel with a capacity of 119 rooms consisting of 59 superior, 25 deluxe, 29 executive, and 6 royal suites.
The lowest room rental rates for Superior Twin Room Only are priced at Rp. 900,000 without breakfast and the highest room rental rate for Executive is Rp. 1,900,000 with breakfast. These rates, of course, vary. Friends of Menong can get much lower prices during low season or weekdays.
The smallest room size at Padjadjaran Suites Resort & Convention Hotel for Superior Twin Room Only has an area of 22 m². Hmmm, I think it's quite spacious and comfortable.
Room facilities consist of air conditioning, free bottled water, a tea/coffee maker, a TV, a desk, a safe, and a bathroom with shower facilities, hot water, toiletries, and a hair dryer (this is what I like).
I myself got an Executive room with an area of 33 m² plus extra space (very spacious, especially because the position is in an interconnecting room so there is additional space). Located on the 6th floor, the view that I get is the front yard of the hotel and the beautiful view of Bogor Nirwana Residence with lots of large land and trees that I can see through the big windows.
Honestly, I like the room and the facilities in it. One double bed, sofa and coffee table, cable TV offering various domestic and foreign channels, wardrobe, dressing table, and table for storing luggage, plus a simple design in shades of green and brown, which is elegant and easy on the eyes.

The empty area is also very wide so I can move freely, spread out a moving prayer mat or just sit on the floor below (which, of course, you don't need to do because there is a sofa available). Most importantly, ventilation and light are very sufficient except for the bathroom area, which gets light from lamps, which tend to be dim. Wifi facilities are also well connected even when surfing in the room.
Restaurant
The Padjadjaran Suites Resort & Convention Hotel restaurant is located adjacent to the lobby. There are two parts to the restaurant, namely the outdoor area directly facing the swimming pool one floor below and the indoor area where the main menu is served, which is adjacent to the shortcut to the elevator.
The menu and taste of food are two of the things that make a hotel attractive. In my personal opinion, the menu and taste of food at this hotel tend to be mediocre, including the main buffet-style menu. Sometimes the dish is not served as complete and warm as chicken porridge, even though the time is showing at 06.00 WIB or more.

Likewise with various cakes, breads, and pastries, there are not many choices that Menong's friends can try. I myself only tasted croissants on the second day of 5 days staying overnight at Padjadjaran Suites Resort & Convention Hotel.

Menong's friends can taste the fried food directly. This is one of the plus points because it is fried impromptu and tastes delicious. Apart from herbal medicine, ginger tea, and various sweets that are always there, perhaps the Padjadjaran Suites Hotel & Conference is the only hotel that serves instant noodles for breakfast.
Even though it's very rare to have Ind*m*e as a breakfast menu, in the end Zauji and I, who caught up with me on the last day of coverage, also ate it because 'kabita' saw friends eating Ind*m*e broth plus eggs, whose aroma tempts the soul.
For Menong friends who like coffee, this hotel restaurant provides a special coffee cafe, which can be ordered outside of the free breakfast service. Guests who do not get free breakfast can pay IDR 135,000 per person.

Unlike the menu that Menong's friends choose for lunch or dinner, the taste is much more different because the taste is stronger and tastier. Menong's friends can also order tektek noodles made directly by the chef. Don't forget to order beef soup or Sundanese specialties, which taste super good.

Padjadjaran Suites Resort & Convention Hotel is also suitable for business purposes. Ballrooms and meeting rooms equipped with a super large parking area can be the best choice. The ballroom and meeting room are in a separate building from the hotel guest rooms.
Unfortunately, access to the building is impractical because it can only be reached by elevator through the gas storage area, which incidentally is only intended for employees (inconvenient for hotel guests because the area tends to be dark and quiet) or from the lobby/restaurant down to the outdoor pool area, though there is a walkway that shelters guests from the rain.
In addition, Padjadjaran Suites Resort & Convention Hotel provides a special room for Friday prayers for employees and guests (which is very rare in other hotels), a fitness center, and table tennis. Friday prayers are held on the second floor of the ballroom building.
Overall, the results of the review of Padjadjaran Suite Hotel Bogor or Padjadjaran Suites Resort & Convention Hotel, can be considered as one of the hotels that has attractive facilities, especially for Menong friends who intend to heal away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
