Hajj Quota Check Application

A few days ago, the Ministry of Religious Affairs announced the list of prospective pilgrims who will depart in 2023. This news is certainly encouraging, especially for prospective pilgrimswho have been waiting for a long time. Actually, there is an application to check the portion of Hajj that we can use to find out the estimated Hajj departure. Come on, let's see!

Going to the holy land is one of the ideals that Muslims desire. Every time, many people register to go to the holy land in order to practice this fifth pillar of Islam. The increasing departure quota causes the waiting list to increase and become longer. As I recall, this surge in the Hajj departure waiting list began to occur since the opening of the Hajj bail fund system in 2012 (in the exact year I do not remember).

Quoted from the website kemenag.go.id, the Decree of the Minister of Religious Affairs of KMA No. 189 of 2023 on the Indonesian Hajj Quota in 1444 H/2023 M has been established. A total of 221,000 prospective pilgrims, inshaallah, will depart this year with a composition of 203,320 regular hajj quotas and 17,680 special hajj quotas.

The regular Hajj quota is divided into 190,897 quotas of regular Hajj pilgrimage in the current year, 10,166 quotas of elderly priorities, 685 quotas of guidance from elements of the Hajj and Umrah Guidance Group (KBIHU) and 1,572 quotas of regional Hajj officers.

The special Hajj quota consists of 16,305 special Hajj pilgrimage quotas and 1,375 quotas of special Hajj officers.

If until the closing of the repayment of the Hajj Implementation Fee (BPIH) there is still the remaining quota of regular pilgrims, the priority quota of the elderly, the quota of Hajj and Umrah (KBIHU), and the quota of the Regional Hajj Officer, then the remaining quota is used for regular pilgrim worshippers of the next portion.

And if there is still a remaining provincial Hajj quota at the end of the BPIH repayment period, the remaining provincial Hajj quota can be given to other provinces by prioritizing the province in one embarkation. Similarly, in the special Hajj quota.

For Menong friends who have long registered for Hajj, of course, it becomes an anxious hope, especially since two years of the pandemic caused the delay in the departure of Indonesian pilgrims.

This week one of my close friends got news because, God willing, he will be sent as a candidate for pilgrims in 1444 A.H. And this is certainly an encouragement for those of us who have long registered but have not gotten clarity on when we departed.

I registered in 2015 with an 11-year waiting period for the city of Bandung at that time; I was supposed to leave in 2026.

I used to feel that 11 years were very long. But it turns out that time just goes by, it doesn't feel that the year 2026 is in front of the eyes.

Due to the condition of the Covid-19pandemic, the government of Saudi Arabia decided the quota of Hajj only came from prospective pilgrims. This certainly has an impact on the departure of prospective Indonesian Hajj pilgrims, who are increasingly delayed.

Last year, while checking through the website kemenag.go.di, all departures of prospective pilgrims retreated for up to 4-5 years. I personally retreated to 2031 so honestly I rarely did another check.

My friend encouraged me to check directly through the Hajj portion check application that must be downloaded first. Do not forget to prepare the Porsi Code or Portion Number, listed on the Hajj Registration Letter (SPPH) sheet that Menong's friend used to get when applying for Hajj. Come on, let's get started!

FAQs about Hajj Departure

Because of the limited funds, I, Zauji, and Ibunda signed up at different times, so of course the estimated departure times became different. There are so many questions that we want to convey that there is no answer in the Hajj portion check application so we decided to silaturahim directly to the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the City of Bandung.

Estimated Departure

This is the first question I asked. I also said that I had ‘sprited’ this estimate through the application. Officers also checked and stated the estimated departure was the same in 2027. Officers also provided us a sheet of SISKOHAT Gen.2, which contained the information of the departure of the pilgrims.

In addition to containing departure estimation, this sheet also contains other information such as district/city quota and our order as prospective pilgrims, how long the waiting period has been since the first time to register and how long the remaining waiting time is.

The officer kindly answered our question. Even one of the senior officers specifically accepted us to talk.

Prospective Women Hajj Pilgrimah Without Men Or Mahram Complement

A Muslim woman should travel with a friend or husband. This also applies to the implementation of Umrah and Hajj. This question I conveyed to the officer in connection at the time of registering; I was still single, aka unmarried. Zauji itself was only registered in 2019 and has an estimated departure in 2039, which is much different from my departure year.

Can Zauji accompany me during the Hajj in 2027?

Officers explained that in 2027, Zauji had waited more than 5 years from the time of applying for 2019, and then Zauji was able to accompany me so that we could both leave together.

The requirement of a male companion or mahram is to have waited > 5 years from the time of registration.

And this can also be one of the tricks for married couples who do not have enough funds; the wife can register for Hajj first by depositing Hajj registration money of Rp. 25,000,000. Husband can follow later when the Hajj registration fund is already in the office.

Mutations Between the City of Prospective Pilgrite Pilgrite

The second problem is that I and Zauji are in different cities so we are registered with different Offices of the Ministry of Religious Affairs. Zauji himself registered in the city of Cimahi, which is in fact outside the city of Bandung. After marriage I also had a Cimahi City ID card because we lived with Zaji's mother. Of course, this makes the ID card when I register different from the ID card when I leave later.

Alhamdulillah, the officer explained that although a list of different cities, I and Zauji are still possible to go together with the way mutations between cities.
One of us had to decide whether I was the mutation to Cimahi City or Zauji, who mutated to the City of Bandung.

Since the mother who has registered for Hajj since 2020 still has a Bandung ID card, and we think the availability of facilities will be more complete in the city of Bandung, we chose to mutate Zaji files from Cimahi City to Bandung City.

Officers also stated that mutations were carried out in the year of departure because it did not take a long time for the data transfer process.

In addition, my old ID card (still Bandung City) is kept stored to facilitate when it is needed one day.

Departure of the elderly

The last question has to do with my mother. To be honest, I’m still a layman about this Hajj rule. In previous years I heard the news that the elderly of at least 75 years old will be prioritized to depart immediately even though they have only two years of registration and can be accompanied by someone who has a family relationship, such as a wife, husband, biological child, or sibling, as evidenced by family cards, marriage certificates, and relevant birth certificates.

Armed with this knowledge, we always thought that the estimated departure of the mother was approximately 2026 at the age of 75 years. And of course with our departure. But we got new information from the officer.

Based on the information, the youngest age of the elderly category in 2022 is 81 years old and the oldest age is 91 years.

To be honest, I was surprised to hear it. Officers explained that the waiting list of elderly categories is long. And the list of prospective pilgrims of this elderly pilgrim will be released annually directly regulated based on regulations from the Ministry of Central Religious Affairs, not the Regency/City.

And this means Mother will not necessarily be departed in 2026 or 2027 along with me and Zauji. In addition, it is not yet certain whether you can leave with the beginning with us because if you wait until you are 81 years old (and of course it is very old), we both have to register again as prospective pilgrims return in order to accompany Mother.

Is the elderly only allowed to be accompanied by officers alone? This is still a note to ask.

And of course, only the best prayers we can pray for us all to be able to go together.

Hajj Fe "charge

When we went to the Kemenag office, we also got a leak of Hajj fees in 2023, which is Rp. 49,800,000. This means that every prospective pilgrim. The Hajj pilgrimage must add to the lack of kurleb Rp. 24,800,000 in less than 3 months.

Because we went three, then I and Zauji Kurleb had to prepare 75 million plus other costs such as the Hajj Guidance Group (KBIH) of at least 3.5 million. And of course you have to start saving for Hajj in the form of cash and gold, as I applied first when registering Umrah and Hajj for me personally, Zaji, and Mother.

Zauji himself estimated we should have a minimum savings of 100 million in less than 4 years. Although the number is fantastic, God willing, it will be enough of all our good intentions.

Allah is rich in opening the gates of sustenance from which He wills.

The year of departure is still long; this Hajj portion check application actually helps prospective pilgrims to prepare themselves.

In terms of finance (balance of Hajj, KBIH, equipment, provision for us and families who will be left behind and others), physical to stay healthy in the year of departure (healthy lifestyle, exercise routine), and knowledge about Hajj (nah, this important point is often forgotten).

The most important thing is to always improve ourselves, to be self-righteer, and increase worship so that we are worthy and ready for God to invite to the holy land.

This Hajj portion check application can be a friend of Menong access to ensure departure estimation and other useful features. May God deliver us all to the holy land. Aamiin.
