In
addition to reading, I really like to write. This year became the 13th
year for me to write a lot of things on the blog, whether personal blog,
job blog, or other blogs. Why do I choose to write on a blog? There are a
million reasons, of course. And all those reasons start from a dream
and the move of a child who likes books, paper, and a pencil.
English
Indonesian
lessons have always been my favorite lesson. Free essays about long
vacation activities that are usually a routine task every beginning of
the new school year I always wait for with joy. ‘Holiday at the Grandmother’ is usually used as the main topic of most children when asked to
write an essay, I write at length times high with a different point of
view so that it no longer works ‘B.’.
I
still remember when I was in grade 4 of elementary school; at that time I
had just changed schools. I was able to write the framework of the essay
well in every essay I made. All stories are made according to the ‘timeline,’
and no sentences begin with the same sentence at the beginning of each
paragraph. For me, an essay must be an extraordinary masterpiece even
though the connoisseur is just me 😘
And
this habit ends when I have a close friend who lives in a different city. Sending letters to sheets again is the next way to write. These letters I
still kept for two years, and I finally destroyed them by just
remembering them as a good memory in childhood.
Mrs. Ratni Bezriati
He
is a teacher of my high school Indonesian language, whose name I always
call every time I am asked to tell how deep and valuable my love of
writing. Suddenly, I was quiet, almost invisible and usually only became
a crumb between the students, suddenly popular because my short story
was chosen by Mrs. Ratni as the best short story among the 1st graders
he was able.
That was the best moment
Without
having to appear, I can be myself present through my writings. In
college, my hobby of writing finally got a way through the wall magazine on the
campus that we managed. With the pseudonym Diva‘Diva’ which
means great woman in Latin (it used to be this term not as famous now as
a singer’s pronounce with extraordinary talent), I manage wall magazine with
all my heart. In the midst of busy college, practicum and compiling
reports, writing for wall magazine g is the most powerful and soothing way to
express my hobby.
Memories
of Mrs. Ratni, makes me more confident to continue to develop myself.
One of them joined the Helvy Tiana Rosa’s Menuhan Pen Circle Forum,
which became my first stop to learn to write. Various short stories I
began to be accepted in various magazines and even had time to get the
champion of hope of the national race.
Choose to Write on a Blog
The
hobby of writing did not stop when I started working. Turning into a
material writer for work purposes, the ideals of becoming a writer are
never lost from my dreams. And finally the opportunity came.
Self-identity as an incompetent person of technology. Offers
to practice making a blog I am not wasted. My first blog was present
even with a simple look. Being tired of always learning to improve the
blog that I nurtured, it feels like I again found the world that I used
to leave.
And
finally I chose to write on the blog, in the hope that my writing will
be enjoyed and useful for many people without the need to be published
by any party. To be honest, at the beginning of writing a blog, I chose
to write articles of various office activities that I followed or writing
about the knowledge I had. It’s not the slightest bit to write a
personal blog. It’s not me so much” considering I belong to the anti-anti-anti-conference group of clubs on social media.
Over
time, I found a writing format on the blog that matched what I wanted.
This idea began to accumulate various travel records that I had played
during my time in charge.
Photographing
became another new hobby that I was engaged so it was a pity if the
photos that I managed to snap only were stored in a laptop. Although it
is not an extraordinary work, in fact, photos can imply a story. And I
started to arrange it together with the writing on a personal blog.
Just Mentong
This
name I chose as a tribute to my child’s name. Menong is a typical
Chinese doll, a city in West Java, which means ‘slave geulis’ or a
beautiful daughter. In order to realize the seriousness of writing on a
blog, I do not hesitate to choose to buy a paid domain and learn various
tips and tricks of blogging self-taught. The blog www.justmenong.com was born 10 years ago with various hopes and dreams.

Starting from an exciting story when going somewhere, finally the blog J JustMenong became a place of 'conflict' when Zauji was sentenced to suffer from retinal ablation and the mother was sentenced to breast cancer.
In the midst of confusion because I did not get enough references about
the two, I was intrigued to write down my experience while accompanying
Zauji and my mother for almost 3 years.

Thank
God, this story became a solace for friends who are both struggling.
There is nothing more heartwarming when friends tell each other and give
encouragement to recover.
Writing and Free Time
Undeniably,
my time management is not as good as other bloggers (maybe I am not
worthy to call myself as a blogger) who is so consistent to always pour
all his stories in their respective blogs. Often dusty, this blog I fill
in once the free time is available.
Since
Zauji and my mother have no longer intensively go back and forth to the
hospital, my free time is much increased. But what is the power, the
attraction of the laymen is still dominant ‘invading’ me.
Now,
the friends I met in various online blogger courses became my
encouragement and reminder to always consistently write back on the
blog. How, choose a special time to write and post, posts on the blog
even if only 1x in a week or even 1x in a month. Consistency is the
koentji why I choose to write on a blog.
Where is the free time?
Free
time is always in our intention to write on the blog. There is no need
for various reasons because many bloggers with a myriad of activities
and business all of time, who still take the time to consistently write.
So, start writing even if only 1 paragraph every day. In between breaks of office activities, I sometimes peek at the dashboard just to write a little idea or change a little setting in the old post according to the direction of the coach in one of the blogging classes. When I had to go through LDR with Zauji because I had to accompany my mother, writing time became more flexible. Even though it’s slow, at least one step I try to put it on every time.
I was also more excited to hunt for ideas and complete them with beautiful photos of my own shots. This habit is often protested by Zauji because I am more busy taking pictures than enjoying the moment together
Hasn’t writing on a blog been my dream and a dream for a long time? Writing on a blog is my ‘me me timetime’ version, part of my way of healing and being yourself.
Imam Al Ghazali, a prominent Muslim thinker, said:
If you are not the son of the king, and you are not a son of a great scholar, then be a writer.
This strand of the word that I always remember the reason why I chose to write on a blog.
