For almost two
years, our family was hit by a sick test. The beginning of 2020 became
the second exam for us after Zauji, who first spent time undergoing eye
treatment at Mata Cicendo Hospital. My mother is diagnosed with breast
cancer and, of course, requires medical treatment as soon as possible.
Thank God there is BPJS in the digital age; fast service makes us
excited to return healthy.
BPJS Patients
As a person who is given the ease of getting health facilities for free, to be honest, I am one of the lazy people using facilities (previously) Health Insurance, or ASKES. For so many years, I only use ASKES facilities in emergencies, such as when undergoing surgery, hospitalization, or when going back and forth to the IGD, because my ulcers and vertigo are mesmerized.The rest I always use self-financing, aka pay using my own money, even though I go to a specialist doctor. The main reason is because I am too lazy to take care of the referral at the Cianjur health center when, when I get seriously sick, I always go home and take medication in Bandung. Long queues simply add to the list of reluctances using ASKES.
The transformation of ASKES to BPJS (Social Security Organizing Agency) Health made me automatically switch to becoming a participant of BPJS according to the rules. Actually, my sister and mother have first become participants in the BPJS independent path. Aside from the registration that can be done online, BPJS also provides health services for non-employees, such as mothers who do not have any health facilities.
Thank goodness, I had a lot of ease. For some people, BPJS services seem complicated and unsatisfactory, but my experience is ‘getting around’ with BPJS is enough to prove that BPJS is easy to use as long as we understand the flow. One of the exciting and memorable stories of BPJS services is when I had to fly to 7 IGD RS a few years ago.
BPJS Services
Along with the transition, on the advice of my sister, I switched Faskes 1 to Bandung (according to KTP)
and chose the primary clinic as Faskes 1 with the patient's consideration, and
the queue in the clinic will be less when compared to the health center. In addition to that,
the schedule of the doctor at the clinic can be selected from the morning or evening until the night.
It will make it easier for me to take medication.
Thank God, the transition process is running smoothly. Although the Healthy Indonesia Card (KIS) does not exist, I can still use the ASKES number to undergo ganglion surgery at Hermina Hospital Bandung. BPJS officers at Hermina Hospital serve well.

I didn’t even experience difficulty with BPJS in the digital age. The fast service carried out by BPJS is very helpful as long as the patient completes the administrative requirements because all can be done via online and phone. This condition certainly makes it easier for me, who still has to wara-wiri because she still has to work outside the city of Bandung.
After
marriage, I and
Zauji chose a clinic near home as a faskes 1 (health facility level 1). The process of
transferring Faskes 1 is done online at the BPJS Health Office
because I am still curious to consult with BPJS officers.
Even though the clinic I chose is only a simple clinic, the service for BPJS participants remains maximized. So
also, if I need further action that cannot be handled in Faskes
1, Faskes 1 will provide a referral to Faskes 2. Usually we choose RS Mitra
Anugerah Lestari (MAL), which is not too crowded.
MAL Hospital is located in the industrial area and is actually not a big and popular hospital in our area, but because
there are not too many patients and the management of BPJS administration is greater,
it’s easy to make the two of us go more often.
I myself have been two
inpatients at MAL Hospital using BPJS facilities. And innumerable routine controls because I have a history of crystals in the urinary tract that still cause frequent ambushes, ear irrigation in the ENT section, or promil consultation in the section. And everything is at no cost at all because it uses the BPJS facility.
National Eye Center, RS Cicendo
Besides me, Zauji and my mother also use BPJS during the treatment period. Thank goodness for almost
2 years as a ‘friend of the eye’ at the National Eye Center, Cicendo Hospital; all facility
treatment is completely covered by BPJS.
To this day, we are still trying to go back and forth to Cicendo Hospital. Sometimes, we meet other patients
who came from outside the city of Bandung. In my experience, the service for
BPJS, KIS, or common patients in Cicendo Hospital can be the best when compared
with another hospital I've visited. It's just that if the queue is sufficiently
long, please be patient, yes... because of course everyone wants to get service.

Cancer Center, Santosa Hospital
My mother herself still has to control every month in the Oncology Surgery section, RS
Santosa. There are interesting stories during breast cancer treatment this year.
There is one difference from the procedure in another hospital: Hermina Hospital asks for the original referral file every time for control, and of course this can be a difficult thing considering the referral is valid for 3 months and only given 1 original file. Thank God, when we returned to faskes 1, the puskesmas (public doctors who used to check
Mother and provide references) facilitate and provide a photo of a referral coffee that is signed and stamped original so we do not need to go back and forth asking for referrals every week. This process also took place quickly because the mother's data was already logged in and integrated into the system, so the data search took almost less than 5 minutes.
And there was one incident.
Funny, when I was going to ask for this referral file, I took the initiative to replace Mom, who took care of everything. With pede, I went to the complex health center.
After explaining here and there, the health center also understood and began to try.
Find a solution. The first step is to find your mother’s data in the BPJS database
Puskesmas.
For some reason, the data continued to appear when the date and I explained the sequence of events in detail. Even the name of the doctor who gave it There was no reference, and after all intervened, it was finally answered. It turns out I was wrong; puskesmas (regional health facility)... I should have gone to the village health center, located outside the complex. Although holding back shame, at the complex health center I know my ignorance.
At the suggestion of my sister, I
move Faskes 1 Mother to the clinic near the house so that you can take medication in the morning or evening. The process of transferring Faskes 1 is done online and will only be active at the beginning of the month. At that time, we had not thought about undergoing long treatment for cancer. However,
Alhamdulillah, although the new Faskes 1 has not been able to accept
the mother as a patient, the previous health center still serves the
needs of the mother to take care of the requirements of the mastectomy and
other operations.
Digitalization of BPJS Services
Service
BPJS has begun to be done through a web-based digital system and is no longer manual so that it is faster, sequenced, and integrated. Many people claim that treating BPJS is complicated; personally, as a BPJS user, I'm grateful that nothing is an obstacle.
During monthly dues, procedures and rules are executed, and, God willing, BPJS services will be able to be utilized. Especially in this digital age, participants and BPJS officers can do a lot through the system. BPJS participants can make monthly payments via autodebit. Officers or doctors are only enough to lend the data to provide referrals or prescription drugs into the system so that it is more practical and efficient.

not forget; make sure the referral letter from Faskes 1 or Faskes 2 is
still valid when we are treated. This convenience is also felt by
friends who get
BPJS services through the KIS line. In general, ignorance of how to get the best service makes people lazy and hesitant to use BPJS.
